Rosselhoznadzor stops 40 tonnes of poultry, heading to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rosselhoznadzor (Russian Agriculture Supervision Body) returned over 38 tonnes of poultry, heading from Ukraine to Uzbekistan via territory of Russia, the press service of the Russian body’s Bryansk and Smolensk regional department said.

Poultry, produced at Ukraine-based Agro-Oven, arrived in automobile crossing point Troyebortnoye on 28 April.

The 38-tonnes cargo was sent to BAMINDA LUX of Uzbekistan and had necessary veterinary certificates, issued by the Ukrainian state veterinary service.

Inspection of the cargo revealed that some boxes with poultry have no labels, indicating date of production and truck does not comply to sanitary requirements.

Rosselhoznadzor said that the cargo was returned to the sender.
