Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Kengash (Council) of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan elected the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has nominated Robahon Makhmudova for the post of first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court.

In accordance with the decision of the Senate’s Kengash, Robahon Makhmudova was elected to the post of first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court for a 10-year term.

In this regard, she was relieved of the post of chairman of the Committee on Science, Education and Health of the Senate.
