Restrictions on Property Can Be Lifted by State Enforcement Authorities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law introducing amendments and additions to several regulatory acts governing state registration of property and the enforcement of obligations.
According to the law, if a claimant agrees to retain unliquidated property for themselves, restrictions previously imposed on that property by authorities responsible for registering property and other real rights may be lifted by a decision of the state enforcement officer.
Such a decision serves as the basis for state registration (recording) of property rights in favor of the designated individual.
Existing obligations related to the property remain with the former owner-debtor, except in cases where the claimant voluntarily assumes responsibility for fulfilling these obligations.
The law comes into effect on the date of its official publication.
