Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– The resolution of the Government approved the Regulation on the procedure for determining restrictive vultures of cartographic and geodetic materials (data), creating maps for open use, issuing, recording and storing secret cartographic and geodetic materials, as well as licensing procedures state secrets in the field of geodesy and cartography.

In accordance with the resolution, restrictions have been lifted from:

- the use of any valid aerospace images linked to the 1984 world geodetic coordinate system (WGS-84) and having passed the control inspection in the appropriate order;

- determination of the coordinates of geographical objects in the state coordinate system of 1942 (with the exception of categorized objects and geodetic points).

According to the Regulation approved by the resolution, the following licensing procedures are determined to ensure the preservation of state secrets in the field of geodesy and cartography:

- registration of geodetic and cartographic works;

- permission to reproduce secret cartographic materials;

- permission to issue secret cartographic and geodetic materials (data);

- permission to publish and / or distribute cartographic materials in Uzbekistan;

- permission to work on aerial photography;

- conducting a control inspection of aerial and space imagery materials.

Also, the Regulation defines the requirements for creating cards for open use.
