Republican Road Fund directs 900bn soums to roads

Uzavtoyul (Uzbek Automobile Roads) state joint stock company carried out construction and reconstruction of 534 km of automobile roads of general use and capital repair of 299.1 km of automobile roads, the press service of the company noted.
Construction of four-lane asphalt-concrete pavement road Samarkand-Qarshi with the length of 79 km was completed. The part of the Ferghana – Quvasoy road at the area from 0 to 5.5. km was reconstructed as well.
The road builders reconstructed 38 km road in Jizzakh, 11 km in Syrdarya and 10 km in Bukhara regions, the company said.
New 5.1 km automobile road was constructed in small ring road of Tashkent – from Beruni street to Hurshid street. It links Farobi, Qorasaroy, Sagban, Sebzar and Labzak streets.
Over 800 km of asphalt roads were constructed to cottages, which are constructed in rural areas on standard objects, social and market infrastructure.
Tens of streets were constructed in Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva cities to create additional conditions for tourists.
According to Uzavtoyol, over 900 billion soums from Republican Road Fund were attracted to realize these projects in 2014.
