Representatives of Uzbekistan and the Netherlands discuss the potential for cooperation in the livestock industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 May, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries, an online meeting of representatives of the livestock industry of Uzbekistan and the Netherlands was held, Dunyo news agency reported.

The negotiations were attended by the regional manager of the Dutch cooperative "CRV" Tom van der Mühlen, as well as the head of the farm "Safia Sultan" in the Fergana region Isakzhon Nasretdinov.

The Dutch side presented the activities of a farming cooperative that supplies genetic material and provides services to improve the quality and breeds of cattle around the world.

Created in 1874, the cooperative "CRV" currently unites more than 23 thousand people in its ranks, has over 50 thousand consumers in 60 countries, as well as representative offices in 12 countries of the world.

The main goal of this association is to improve the selection of cattle by means of creating a database of the best meat and dairy breeds. The cooperative provides services for establishing a breeding management system, including artificial insemination and genetic testing of animals.

During the online meeting, information was also provided on the essence and significance of the decree of the head of state adopted on March 3 on additional measures to support the livestock industries, the conditions created and the benefits provided for breeding entities, as well as foreign investors.

During the negotiations, the issue of establishing cooperation in the development of breeding economy in Uzbekistan was discussed. An agreement was reached on organizing a study visit of Uzbek specialists to the Netherlands, as well as introducing advanced European technology and knowledge in our country.
