Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman, held a video conference with the management of the company "Al Alia Investment and Industry" on the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oman.

The event was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate Omon Anvar Abdukhalimov.

At the meeting, the CCI of Uzbekistan provided information on the economic development of the republic at the end of 2019, the main indicators of various sectors of the economy, as well as the ongoing economic reforms in the country.

At the same time, the Omani company was offered to actively participate in the implementation of promising investment projects in the republic.

In turn, representatives of the Omani company expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the energy sector, mining and construction industries, in the processing of agricultural products, as well as in the tourism industry and expressed a desire to establish close business contacts with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to exchange information and organize a business trip for the delegation of the Omani company to Uzbekistan in September 2020.
