Red Wings Launches Yekaterinburg–Urgench Flights in April

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian airline Red Wings is launching a new route from Yekaterinburg to Uzbekistan. The inaugural flight to Urgench will depart from Koltsovo Airport on 14 April.

This will be the second Uzbek city accessible by direct flight from the Ural capital; since 2022, Red Wings has operated regular flights to Bukhara.

Flights will operate weekly on Tuesdays at 04:30 aboard Russian SSJ-100 aircraft. The journey takes 2 hours and 50 minutes, providing Ural residents with a fast and convenient link to one of Central Asia’s most vibrant regions.

The new route opens direct access to the ancient city of Khiva, near Urgench. Its historic Ichan-Kala center is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a remarkable example of medieval architecture, attracting tourists from around the world.
