Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As previously reported, in order to maintain a balance of energy and water resources, as well as sustainable supply of electricity to consumers, the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Republic of Tajikistan, are implementing a number of investment projects.
In particular, the National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan is implementing the investment project “Reconstruction of the 500 kV Guzar - Regar (L-507) power transmission line in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
Currently, within the framework of the project, the reconstruction of a 63-kilometer section of 500 kV Guzar-Regar transmission lines in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan has begun. Completion of the reconstruction of this section is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.
The project is being implemented on the basis of the protocol of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan. This project is aimed at ensuring the reliability of power supply with the parallel operation of the power systems of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
