Prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in the field of agriculture were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the ongoing consistent work to expand investment cooperation and increase mutual trade turnover between Uzbekistan and India, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi held negotiations in the format of a video conference with Manish Dalmiya, Managing Director of MLD Group in Kolkata, Dunyo news agency reported.

MLD Group is one of the leading companies in West Bengal, specializing in tea growing, packaging and real estate.

It should be noted that a delegation of the company headed by Manish Dalmiyev visited Uzbekistan on a working visit in 2018 and 2019 and got acquainted with the economic potential of the city of Tashkent, Tashkent, Andijan and Khorezm regions. As part of these trips, agreements were reached with Uzbek entrepreneurs on important areas of cooperation.

During the conversation, Manish Dalmiya expressed his intention to implement joint investment projects with partners from Uzbekistan. He proposed to establish cooperation in the field of packaging goods and various products. In this regard, an agreement was reached to conduct marketing research with partners of the "MLD Group" in our country.

The parties noted the existing potential for expanding trade in agricultural products, especially dried fruits and tea. In addition, given West Bengal’s potential for fish farming and rice cultivation, prospects for cooperation and exchange of experience in these areas will be explored.
