Presidential elections end in Uzbekistan

The members of the election commissions started to count votes. The results on turnout of voters will be announced at 22:00.

It is expected that the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan will announce preliminary results of the presidential elections on 30 March.

It is worth to mention that four candidates competed in the presidential elections – from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan – Islam Karimov, the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan – Hotamjon Ketmonov, the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Milly Tiklanish" – Akmal Saidov and the Social-democratic party “Adolat” – Narimon Umarov.
