Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the limited liability company Yantex Invest in Yangiarik district of Khorezm region.

This enterprise is a clear example of economic policy aimed at efficient use of empty buildings, their privatization and the development of entrepreneurship. This building was abandoned for many years. The building acquired a modern look after Asakabank’s investment of over US$16 million and the installation of equipment from China, South Korea and Italy.

Today the production of fabrics and bedding is established here. More than 200 jobs have been created.

The enterprise is capable of producing 12 million running meters of fabric and 600 thousand sets of bedding a year, as well as exporting products worth US$6 million.

The President got acquainted with the technological process at the new enterprise.

Now work is underway to increase the volume of production and open a fabric dyeing factory in the city of Urgench. Thus, at the second stage, dyeing, packaging and export of fabric to Russia and other countries will be established.

It also discussed the issues of creating a new system of work in the context of makhallas. It provides for the assignment of employees of the economic complex of the district level to makhallas and the resolution of issues on the relevant part.

“We elect the chairmen of the makhallas, we demand a lot from them,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. - But there is no unambiguous answer to the question of what the heads of local government agencies are doing. Now we will create a system in which the material security of government officials will be determined by people’s satisfaction. Leaders in charge of taxes, finance, employment, investment, entrepreneurship and other issues will work in mahallas. The chairmen of the mahallas will make demands on the problems on their territory. This is the basis for reforms in the grassroots system. People need to feel it.

Responsible persons were instructed to introduce this system, train the chairmen of makhallas at the Academy of Public Administration.
