Uzbek leader started his visit to the region with a trip to the grave of Islam Karimov, the First President of Uzbekistan, at Hazrati Khizr complex. Suras from the Koran were read in memory of Islam Karimov.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with construction of the memorial complex at the burial site of Islam Karimov.

The mausoleum was lined with decorated granite and marble slabs, the verses from the Koran were written on the walls.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave his recommendations on creating favorable conditions for visitors to the mausoleum.
