President of Uzbekistan to Attend First Meeting of the Peace Council
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the inaugural official meeting of the Peace Council, which is being prepared in Washington.
In January of this year, the President of Uzbekistan signed the charter of the Peace Council, a new international organization, granting Uzbekistan the status of a founding member of the structure.
The first official session of the Peace Council is scheduled for February 19. The organization was established on the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump, according to the news channel Uzbekistan 24.
As Uzbekistan is among the founding member states of the Peace Council, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to participate personally in the proceedings of the inaugural meeting.
