President of Uzbekistan Congratulates Servicemen on the 34th Anniversary of the Armed Forces and Defender of the Fatherland Day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressed servicemen, veterans, and citizens with congratulations on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and Defender of the Fatherland Day.

In his message, the head of state emphasized the army’s contributions to ensuring the country’s independence and security, as well as its important role in the ongoing reforms and transformations in the state.

“On this memorable day, we express our deep respect and gratitude to our brave warriors who have devoted their lives to defending the Motherland and preserving its territorial integrity. We honor the memory of heroes who fell in the line of duty,” the President said.

Mirziyoyev highlighted that the Armed Forces play a significant role in building the New Uzbekistan, continuing the proud traditions of their ancestors, strengthening the country’s combat potential, and maintaining close ties with the people.

He thanked the families of servicemen for their support and dedication, noting that these values form the foundation of unity between the army and society.

The President also drew attention to strategic directions for the development of the army within the framework of the “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy.

Among the priorities are the modernization of management and logistics systems, recruitment of professional officers and sergeants, enhancement of personnel combat training, implementation of modern information technologies, and equipping the troops with advanced weaponry, including robotic systems and AI-based tools.

Special emphasis is placed on patriotic education of youth, fostering interest in military service, and ensuring social protection for servicemen and their families.

Mirziyoyev stressed that every serviceman should feel the support of the entire nation, drawing strength from it to fulfill their duty.

“I am convinced that our valiant warriors, learning from the legacy of heroic ancestors, will honorably perform their sacred duty to the Motherland,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated, wishing servicemen good health, success, and well-being for their families.
