President familiarizes himself with projects in light industry

In 2017-2018, the region plans to implement 19 projects in this sector. As a result, the export potential of the industry will increase 2.8 times and almost 9 850 jobs will be created.

National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Affairs will finance eight projects that will allow to export products worth US$4.3 million and provide jobs to 1,325 people.

Nile Granite produces 5 million units of ready-made clothing under the brand name Samo a year. The products of the enterprise are exported to Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.

At the enterprise it is planned to adjust manufacture, painting and furnish of a yarn and fabrics. As a result, the company’s export volume will increase to US$ 5 million a year. Additional 1,180 jobs will be created at the enterprise.

Oltin Mato Teks Ltd. organizes an enterprise for production of ready-made garments, knitwear and yarns, using equipment from Japan, Belgium and Turkey.

Vodiy Sanoat Fahri and Sayyora Favvorasi Ltd. are scheduled to implement promising projects aimed at expanding production, exporting products to foreign markets, and providing employment for population.
