Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 November 2019, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United States, together with the Harvard Club in Washington, organized a presentation of the investment potential and tourist brand of our country for graduates of Harvard University, which ranks third among the best universities in the world.
Harvard graduates are 8 US presidents, more than 30 foreign heads of state, about 160 Nobel laureates, and also large businessmen.
The event was attended by over 100 members of the Harvard Club in Washington, who are leading government officials, representatives of international organizations and large American companies, as well as professors of US research institutes.
The briefing participants were informed in detail about the progress made to improve the business climate in the country, created great opportunities for foreign investors to the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, measures taken in the tourism sector, including visa facilitation.
During the event, answering the participants’ questions, Ambassador Javlon Vakhabov also noted that today Uzbekistan is improving relations with its neighbors in Central Asia and is promoting regional integration and interconnectedness by modernizing regional infrastructure and stimulating industrial cooperation.
Participants in the briefing praised the ongoing reforms led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in recent years, aimed at developing the economy and maintaining security, including through a peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan.
This event allowed to present the rich historical heritage and science of Uzbekistan, and also contributed to the promotion of the cultural and humanitarian potential and popularization of the republic’s tourism brand, Uzbek-American cultural and economic ties among Harvard graduates.
