In the structure of retail trade turnover, the share of food products was 50% and non-food products – 50% (in January-March 2010 – 48.3% and 51.7% respectively).
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, main part of retail trade turnover fell to share of non-state sector (5,229 trillion soums) and share of state sector made up 13.3 billion soums in the reporting period.
In January-March 2011, the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises reached 2.283 trillion soums or increased by 14.6% in comparison with January- March 2010. In the structure of the retail trade, the turnover of trade enterprises was 43.6%.
In the total turnover of trade enterprises, the share of the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area was 22.2%.
The sales of agricultural products and livestock in dekhkan markets increased by 13.2% and reached 1.873 trillion soums and the share of sales in the retail trade turnover was 35.7%.
The goods turnover of the informal sector (commodity and specialized markets) was 1.087 trillion soums or 10% higher than in January-March 2010. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 20.7%.
