Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 May, at 05:55, a water spout occurred on the 6-picket wall of the dam of the Sardoba reservoir in Syrdarya region.

As a result, water fell into the village of Kurgantepa in Sardoba district, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies reports.

Due to the danger of a water spill, work continues on the evacuation of settlements to safe areas. According to preliminary data, there are no victims and injured.

The situation is fully controlled by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the ministry said in a statement.
