Parliaments of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to sign plan for further development of bilateral cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic will sign a plan of practical measures ("Road map") for further development of bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation for 2018, the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis said.

The document will be signed within the framework of the official visit of the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastanbek Jumabekov to Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the visit, a number of meetings are planned, including in the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meetings and negotiations, the parties will discuss key issues in development of bilateral relations, prospects for further expansion and deepening of interparliamentary relations, as well as trade, economic and investment cooperation.

The program of the visit includes visiting and acquaintance with the cultural and historical sights of the city of Samarkand, laying flowers to the Independence and Humanism monument on Mustakillik Square in Tashkent, visiting the permanent exposition “Chingiz Aitmatov and Uzbekistan”, as well as the Khazrati Imam complex.
