Over 52,000 people pardoned in Uzbekistan
The amnesty was applied to those, who committed crimes, which are not dangerous to the society. The document also envisages the release of women, those who were under 18 when committing a crime, as well as men at the age of over 60 and foreign citizens.
During three months, after adoption of the resolution, over 52,000 people, who committed crimes, which are not dangerous to the society, were released.
At the same time, over 7,200 women (15% from total number), over 1,100 under ages (2.2%), 681 men at the age of over 60 (1.3%), and 42 foreign citizens (0.77%) were pardoned in Uzbekistan in line with the amnesty resolution.
About 3,300 persons were released from facilities of the Main department on execution of punishment of Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan.
