Over 31,760 small businesses registered in Uzbekistan in 2016

As of 1 January 2017, number of existing small businesses reached 218,170 in Uzbekistan, which rose by 11,066 compared to the same period of 2016.

Share of small businesses in GDP of Uzbekistan reached 56.9% (56.5% in 2015), industry – 45% (40.6%), services – 60.5% (57.8%), export – 28.5% (27%) and employment – 78.1% (77.9%).

Small business entities used investments for 19,963 trillion soums in 2016, which makes up 40.3% of total used investments in Uzbekistan in 2016.

The sector conducted construction works for 20.677 trillion soums (70.7% of total construction works) in 2016, which rose by 15.6% year-on-year.
