Over 1,100 Uzbeks Visited the UK in January

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January 2026, more than 1,100 citizens of Uzbekistan visited the United Kingdom, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The agency reported that a total of 1,126 Uzbeks traveled to the UK during the first 31 days of the year, marking a 15.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Most trips were for tourism, with 821 visitors traveling for leisure. Educational visits accounted for 193 people, while 92 traveled to see relatives, and 20 went on business trips or official duties.

The increase reflects growing interest in the UK’s tourism and educational opportunities among Uzbek citizens at the start of 2026.
