Open Dialogue Between Government and Business on Tourism Development Held in Syrdarya Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting in the format of an open dialogue was held in the Syrdarya region, aimed at further developing the regional tourism sector, strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors, and reviewing proposals and challenges raised by the business community.
The event was attended by the Republican Working Group headed by Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The discussion brought together representatives of the Syrdarya regional khokimiyat, relevant ministries and agencies, as well as around 40 business representatives, including tour operators, hotel and restaurant sector representatives, transport companies, recreation areas, and cultural institutions.
During the dialogue, participants examined prospects for developing medical, sports, eco-, agro-, gastronomic, hunting, and recreational tourism in the region, as well as expanding roadside services, modernizing tourism infrastructure, and creating new tourism products.
As part of the presentation by the head of the Republican Working Group, the results of work carried out in the Syrdarya region in 2025 were presented, along with priority objectives set for 2026.
Following the meeting, it was noted that all proposals and appeals voiced during the dialogue will be carefully reviewed in cooperation with the relevant ministries and agencies.
In accordance with established procedures, practical measures will be developed to address the issues raised and to further strengthen partnership between the public and private sectors.
