Officials of Japan and Central Asia hold talks in Tokyo

On 4 March 2015, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the ninth Meeting of Senior Officials "Central Asia plus Japan" Dialogue at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
Official representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Japan were also attended the meeting, which was held in Tokyo, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
During the meeting, prospects of the development of cooperation in the field of agriculture, in the fight against drug trafficking and other issues on deepening cooperation among the member countries of the Dialogue, were also discussed.
Moreover, the issues of preparations for the 6th Meeting of the foreign ministers of the member countries of the Dialogue in Ashgabat in 2016 were considered.
