Odil Akhmedov was named as Uzbekistan’s captain

Midfielder of Krasnodar (Russia) Odil Akhmedov has been appointed as a captain of Uzbekistan national football team, an official Twitter-account of Uzbekistan Football Federation said.
Server Djeperov was the captain of Uzbekistan prior this appointment, while Odil Akhmedov was the vice-captain of Uzbekistan national team.
Server Djeperov and Aziz Khaydarov will be vice-captains of Uzbekistan national team. Odil Akhmedov played in 70 matches for Uzbekistan, netting 12 goals.
Uzbekistan will play against Yemen at home on 3 September and Philippines away on 8 September within the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
