Number of Uzbek population makes up 31.57m
The committee noted that the number of population rose by 553,900 or 1.8%.
The number of urban population was 15.964 million people (50.6% of the total number of population) and rural population – 15.612 million people (49.4%).
According to the committee, number of births was 735,800 in 2015, which rose by 17,800 compared to 2014. The birth rate was 23.5 pro mil and increased by 0.2 pro mil in comparison with the corresponding period of 2014 (23.3 pro mil).
In 2015, the number of deaths was 152,900 and in comparison with January-December 2014 (149,800) increased by 3,100. The death rate was 4.9 pro mil (in January-December 2014 – 4.9 pro mil).
In the structure of total deaths cardiovascular diseases made up 58.9%, neoplasms – 8.6%, diseases of digestive organs – 5.9%, respiratory diseases – 5.4%, accidents, poisonings and traumas – 6.6%.
About 8,300 children died at the age under one year. The infant death rate was 11.4 pro mil (in January-December 2014 – 10.8 pro mil). Out of the total number of children died at the age under one year 59% died of states occurring in perinatal period, 23.2% - respiratory diseases, 9.1% – congenital anomalies, and 3.4% - infectious and parasitic diseases.
