New regular flight Sharjah - Tashkent opens

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 November, an aircraft of the Air Arabia (UAE) airline landed at the Tashkent International Airport. This is in fact the first international passenger flight operated by a foreign low-cost airline to Uzbekistan during the pandemic.

Air Arabia is an Arab low-cost airline headquartered in Sharjah, operating in the passenger transportation market since 2009, operating regular flights from Sharjah and Alexandria airports, as well as from four airports in Morocco to the Middle East and Southeast Asia, Europe and the CIS.

The first low-cost airline in the Middle East, Air Arabia, flies to 170 destinations in 50 countries. The peculiarity of the airline is that it offers flights between destinations with a transfer at the base airport in Sharjah. The airline has subsidiaries - Air Arabia Egypt in Alexandria, Egypt and Air Arabia Magoso in Casablanca.

The international flight to Tashkent was organized within the framework of an agreement reached between the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Abu Dhabi and the Emirati airline.

At the Tashkent International Airport, the passenger flight was met by a delegation of the State Committee for Tourism Development, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Committee Ulugbek Agzamov.

At the beginning, Air Arabia planned to operate regular flights on the Abu Dhabi-Tashkent-Abu Dhabi route, but the company decided to start flights from the third largest city in the UAE - Sharjah.

Regular flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays on Airbus A320 aircraft. Tickets for purchase are already available on the website of the Arab company, since this is a low-cost airline, tickets will be sold at flexible prices.
