New agriculture firms to be created in Surkhandarya region

According to the resolution, agriculture firms will be created in the region till 10 December 2016 in each district of Surkhandarya region with participation of the Fund for support of small businesses, private entrepreneurship, farms and Uzagroexport.

The Government entrusted National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity in cooperation with other bodies to develop a regulation on order of activities on agriculture firms, which should include in their structure capacities on production, storage, processing and packaging of fruits and vegetables, preparing seeds, etc.

The bank was also entrusted to allocate preferential loans for at least 2 billion soums to each agriculture firm to start their operations.

The bank was also asked to directed resources of foreign loans, attracted in line with the intergovernmental agreements and state programmes to agriculture companies to purchase equipment, technologies, services and others.

The Government also provided right to agriculture firms to carry out wholesale trade of fruits, vegetables, melons and grapes, independently from the size of their charter capital.

In each region, agriculture firm will receive premises for free of charge and land areas.
