Nestlé filed a lawsuit against Family in April 2016 in order to protect its intellectual property against Family Group, which produced bottled water under Family brand.

In May 2016, Economic Court of Tashkent supported the position of Nestlé. Later, Family Group filed an appeal to the decision of the court, demanding to abolish decision of the first level court.

On 9 January 2017, the Court of cassation of the Supreme Economic Court of Uzbekistan issued an order and supported the decision of Economic Court of Tashkent from 24 May 2016. The court decided not to satisfy the appeal of Family Group.
