Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Director and founder of N & H Japan Inc. (Japan) Tsutomu Nakagawa held a meeting with the leadership of the Association Uztekstilprom in Tashkent.

The purpose of the visit is to provide consulting services on export of Uzbek textile, clothing and knitwear products to the markets of Southeast Asia and Japan, as well as assistance in attracting Japanese investments by providing preferential credit lines for the textile industry, leasing of equipment, software and cooperation with the largest leasing companies in Japan.

Visit of the Japanese delegation led by the CEO of N & H Japan Inc. Tsutomu Nakagawa was initiated by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Investments.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The role of Japanese companies in development of textile industry was noted. It was underlined that Japanese technological equipment of Toyota, Murata, Tsudakoma, Tajima, Juki, Brothers, and other brands were installed at the enterprises of the industry. Representative offices of Itochu Corporation and Marubeni Corporation are actively working in Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek side provided information on the current state of the industry, in particular, the introduction of a cluster system for the development of the industry in the republic.

Also, during the talks, the draft resolution of the President "On measures to further ordering foreign economic activity and improve customs and tariff regulation of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and the draft Concept on radical reform of the tax system were discussed.

It included reducing the tax burden, reducing the VAT rate, unifying and abolishing a number of taxes and compulsory payments.

The Japanese side underlined that it fully supports the large-scale reforms implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan and is ready to take part in projects to implement reforms in the country.

The parties considered the assistance of N & H Japan Inc in promoting domestic ready-made textile products through the Japanese retail chain of everyday clothes Uniqlo (Unique Clothing Warehouse).
