Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 February 2021, negotiations on the production and supply of modern water meters were held in Tashkent between the management of Uzsuvtaminot and the Austrian company Diehl Metering.

During the event, the parties exchanged views on mutual cooperation, expressed their requirements and proposals, discussed new ways of cooperation.

Today, the level of provision of the population with water meters is 51 percent. At the end of 2019, the number of water meters in Uzbekistan was 1.3 million, at the end of 2020 - almost 2 million.

For example, in the city of Tashkent, a consumer without a water meter for 1 person, according to the designated norm, pays an average of 21 thousand soums per month, after installing a water meter, these costs are reduced by at least three times.
