Negotiations on Uzbek Agricultural Exports and Joint Investment Projects Held in Jakarta

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 February 2026, a series of meetings took place in Jakarta focused on the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Indonesia, with the participation of representatives from BMB HOLDING and business circles of the Indonesian capital.

During the official meeting, Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Board of Founders of BMB HOLDING, discussed with Oybek Eshonov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Indonesia, prospects for exporting deeply processed agricultural products produced by the holding’s enterprises, as well as opportunities for implementing joint investment projects with Indonesian partners.

The discussions addressed logistics, product certification, and expanding the presence of Uzbek goods in a market of more than 280 million people. Indonesian companies also expressed interest in implementing projects in Uzbekistan in logistics, agriculture, food processing, and the chemical industry.

On the same day, with support from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Bekzod Mamatkulov held talks with Adhi Lukman, Chairman of the Association of Food and Beverage Producers of Indonesia, and Wijanto Alamisach, President of Arena Group. The discussions focused on joint investment projects in Uzbekistan, expanding cooperation in agricultural processing, and establishing mutually beneficial trade relations. Arena Agro Andalan, as a leading regional producer, manufactures over 500,000 tons of agricultural ingredients annually and is ready to share expertise with Uzbek enterprises.

Additionally, Bekzod Mamatkulov met with Jay Abdullah Alatas, Head of the Committee for Cooperation with Uzbekistan, Hungary, and Croatia at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Farhan Maendri, President of Vortech Corp FZCO. The dialogue included investment initiatives such as opening a branch of the BMB Za’faron Premium restaurant in Jakarta, creating a joint venture for instant food production in Jizzakh region, and supplying high-demand products to the markets of both countries.

Following the meetings, the parties agreed to continue establishing direct contacts with relevant Indonesian companies and to invite their specialists to Uzbekistan to develop practical measures for implementing joint projects.
