Namık Güner Erpul appointed as Turkish envoy to Uzbekistan

The Minister received credentials of the Ambassador, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

At the meeting, the sides considered actual issues of cooperation in various areas, as well as come international issues.

The Uzbek and Turkish officials considered perspective directions of collaboration in trade-economic and investment spheres.

The sides underlined with satisfaction that the bilateral trade grew by 10.5% year-on-year in 2013 and reached over US$1.346 billion. About 485 enterprises with Turkish investment cooperate in various economy of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, the officials considered schedule and agenda of upcoming contacts between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Turkey and session of the intergovernmental institutes.
