Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Together with specialists of the hydrocarbon production department of Uzbekneftegaz and the Mubarek gas processing plant, planned complete overhaul of the 19th plant for purifying natural gas from sulfur compounds was completed.

This unit was commissioned in 1994 and its main function is to purify natural gas from high contents of sulfur and carbon dioxide compounds. It is designed to receive 2.0 billion cubic meters of high-sulfur associated gas per year.

In connection with the optimization of the operating modes of the gas processing units of the plant during the period of suspension of work on the repair of this unit, a daily decrease in the total volume of gas transferred to the processing process by 4.0 million cubic meters was prevented.

As a result of high-quality repair work at the installation, it will be achieved to ensure its stable, reliable operation in the autumn-winter period and to fulfill the indicators of the planned plan.

The Mubarek gas processing plant is located in Mubarek district of Kashkadarya region and was commissioned in 1973.
