Monument to First President of Uzbekistan opened in Tashkent

The ceremony was attended by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, members of the Government of Uzbekistan, the First President’s spouse Tatyana Karimova and others.

The author of the monument of the First President of Uzbekistan is the sculptor and academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Jabborov.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the Mustakillik square and laid a wreath at the foot of the Independence Monument and Humanism, which is a symbol of freedom, bright future and noble aspirations of Uzbekistan.

Flowers were also laid at the foot of the monument on behalf og the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ministries, departments and the public.
