Mirziyoyev to Launch Copper Plant at Almalyk Complex

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, will visit the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex today to take part in the launch ceremony of Copper Processing Plant No.3.

During the visit, the head of state will review the process of copper concentrate production and hold a meeting focused on accelerating the implementation of major investment projects in the mining industry.

The commissioning of the new plant is expected to become an important step in the development of the country’s metallurgical sector and to strengthen the export potential of Uzbekistan’s copper industry.
