Mirziyoyev Addresses Nation on Navruz and Eid al-Fitr

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a праздничный address during nationwide celebrations of Navruz, which this year coincided with the sacred holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

The head of state highlighted the symbolic significance of the convergence of the two major holidays, comparing them to two great rivers merging into a single flow. He extended congratulations to the multinational people of Uzbekistan, as well as compatriots living abroad, wishing peace, well-being, and prosperity to all.

Mirziyoyev emphasized that Navruz has for centuries symbolized the renewal of nature, spiritual purification, kindness, and unity. According to him, these days vividly reflect social cohesion and the country’s creative potential. This year’s celebrations are being held under the motto “Glorifying Navruz means glorifying humanity.”

The President also noted the large-scale reforms underway in the country aimed at improving living standards. These include job creation, poverty reduction, strengthening social protection, and the construction of modern enterprises, infrastructure, housing, as well as educational, healthcare, cultural, and sports facilities. He stressed that these efforts will continue to expand.

Special attention was given to the role of farmers and dehkan households, whose work ensures the country’s food security. The President expressed gratitude for their contributions and reaffirmed continued support from the state and society.

Mirziyoyev also highlighted the importance of youth, describing them as the “golden generation” of New Uzbekistan. He noted that young people are becoming a driving force behind achievements in education, science, culture, sports, IT, and business. The government, he said, will continue to create conditions for their development to help realize their potential and contribute to building a Third Renaissance.

Speaking about the mahalla system, the President emphasized the importance of strengthening mutual respect, good neighborliness, and social stability at the community level. He congratulated mahalla workers on their professional holiday and expressed confidence in their continued active role in addressing local social issues.

Mirziyoyev also underlined Navruz’s role as a spiritual bridge between peoples, stressing the relevance of its values—peace, friendship, and cooperation—amid current global instability. He noted that representatives of more than 130 nationalities living in Uzbekistan celebrate the holiday as one family, forming a solid foundation for the country’s future development.

The President emphasized the importance of interethnic and interfaith harmony, as well as cooperation with Central Asian countries, which he said should contribute to transforming the region into a space of peace and partnership.

In conclusion, Mirziyoyev highlighted the country’s unique natural and human potential, called for careful stewardship of natural resources, and urged citizens to continue traditions of благоустройство and development. He expressed confidence that, through unity, the people of Uzbekistan will build a new future and achieve new heights of progress.

The President once again congratulated citizens on the holiday of spring and renewal, wishing that Navruz would become a time of growth and progress and that all aspirations of the people would come true.
