Ministry of Justice: Apostille fee reduces 10 times
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan reduces fees for providing apostille, the Ministry of Justice said.

According to the Ministry, the cost of providing special apostille stamp on official documents is reduced 10-fold - from 172,240 to 17,224 soums.

The Ministry of Justice notes that every year more than 30,000 Uzbek citizens hand over documents issued by state organizations to official bodies of foreign countries to resolve issues related to studies, work, as well as family and other issues. One of the methods for recognizing documents abroad is the obligatory stamp of Apostille.

The amount of the apostille fee was reduced due to complaints of citizens for high fees.

It should be reminded that in Uzbekistan, four organizations are authorized to stamp an apostille: the Ministry of Justice (to official documents emanating from courts, agencies and institutions of justice), the General Prosecutor’s Office (to official documents originating from the prosecutor’s office, investigation, inquiry and pre-investigation), the State Inspectorate for Supervision of the Quality of Education (to official documents originating from educational and scientific organizations) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (for other official documents).
