Malaysian Investors Plan Golf Resort with Hotels, Water Park, and Winter Attractions in Tashkent Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ambassador of Uzbekistan Karomiddin Gadoyev held a meeting with Fio Fahmi, Executive Director of the Malaysian company Spora Global Sdn Bhd, the Dunyo news agency reports.

During the discussions, the Malaysian company’s head presented an investment proposal to establish a modern, international-standard golf resort complex in the Tashkent region.

According to Fio Fahmi, the project envisions a world-class golf resort featuring a professional golf course, a clubhouse, 4- and 5-star hotels, modern residential facilities, restaurants, a wellness complex, a water park, and skiing facilities for the winter season.

The initiative aims not only to develop the region’s sports infrastructure but also to elevate the tourism potential of the Tashkent region to a new level.

Investors proposed implementing the project through a public-private partnership with the Tashkent regional hokimiyat, including the possibility of establishing a joint venture.

Fio Fahmi added that in the coming days, a company delegation comprising management and specialists will visit Uzbekistan to study opportunities in detail and select the optimal location for the project.

Spora Global Sdn Bhd, founded in 2012, specializes in the design, construction, management, renovation, and interior design of hotels and resorts. The company manages golf clubs in Singapore, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, New Zealand, and Scotland.
