Legislative Chamber’s Committee discusses draft law “On sanitary-epidemiologic well-being of population”
The draft law envisages improving legal bases of ensuring sanitary and epidemiologic well-being of population, including creation of efficient mechanism on adhering to sanitary norms, rules, norms of hygiene, etc, the press service of the Legislative Chamber said.
According to MPs, the draft law is directed at ensuring execution of sanitary norms and rules by kindergarten, educational, cultural, sport and other institutions. It is also envisages implementation of measures on training of children to sanitary and hygiene rules at all levels of education.
Nuriya Aytjanova, a member of the committee, said that the law introduces new chapter dedicated to sanitary protection of the territory of Uzbekistan, holding vaccination, disinfection measures, mandatory medical examination and teaching population to hygiene rules.
She said that the law will envisages that civil society institutes will be also attracted to ensure sanitary and epidemiologic well-being of population.
It was underlined that the document was developed based on commonly accepted principles and international law and based on experience of the US, Great Britain and France.
MPs expressed their recommendations and proposals on further improving the draft law.
