Lebedev to lead CIS observation mission for Uzbekistan presidential election
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev will lead the CIS observation mission for the presidential election in Uzbekistan.
The Council of Permanent Representatives of the member states at charter and other bodies of the CIS approved his candidacy on 5 February 2015, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee said.
The presidential election in Uzbekistan will take place on 29 March 2015.
