Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A Decree of the President “On additional measures to radically improve legal education and science in the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been adopted.

In accordance with the Decree, Tashkent State Law University is defined as the basic higher educational and scientific-methodological institution for the training, retraining of legal personnel in the specialty "jurisprudence".

Also, law faculties are being established at Samarkand, Namangan and Termez State Universities with admission in the area of “jurisprudence” on quotas, including an additional admission under a differentiated paid contract.

According to the Decree, the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences is formed, carrying out fundamental and applied research in the field of state, law and political and legal thought.

The decree defines the priority areas for the further development of legal education and legal science.

One of the priority areas is to ensure the training of highly qualified, creatively thinking, honest staff on the basis of modern requirements, advanced international legal experience and the needs of the labor market.

According to the Decree, the procedure for the formation of an order for the training of legal personnel is being introduced.

According to this, the admission parameters to TSLU, law schools and legal technical schools are formed taking into account the current and future needs for legal personnel, based on the analysis in the context of each region, economic sectors and social sphere with the creation of an electronic platform for forecasting the needs of legal personnel.
