Latvia shares experience with Uzbekistan on reforming civil service and improving transparency
The course is directed to familiarize the Uzbek partners with experience of Latvia on reforming civil service and ensuring openness in the activities of various state structures.
The Uzbek delegation includes officials of the Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Justice, divisions of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, which expressed interest in studying Latvian experience in reforming public sector.
The educational programme “Latvian experience for Central Asia in improving transparency and fighting corruption” was prepared by Latvian Foreign Ministry in cooperation with Riga High Law School and Tashkent office of USAID.
The programme includes such topics as reforming state civil service, judicial reforms and other issues related to openness and fighting corruption. The Uzbek officials will attend seminars and Latvian state bodies.
