Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the President "On additional measures for further development of the Karakul breeding sphere" was adopted.
According to the resolution, by 1 March 2021, irrigated lands that are not used in agriculture will be allocated to karakul breeding clusters for the production of feed, subject to the introduction into circulation.
Based on this, until 15 February 2021, the Turon Bank will be allocated funds in the amount of 100 billion soums at the main rate of the Central Bank.
These funds will be provided to members of the Republican Association "Korakulchilik" as a loan for up to 3 years, including a one-year grace period, at a rate calculated by adding the bank's 2% margin to the Central Bank's base rate.
According to the resolution, until 1 January 2024, the land tax rate established for pastures permanently owned by the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Karakul Breeding, and pastures leased to the Committee by the State Committee for Forestry, will be reduced by 50 percent.
Also, a subsidy is provided for each embryo of a thoroughbred sheep and a goat, including a Karakul sheep, imported from foreign countries, in the amount of 400 thousand soums at the expense of the republican budget.
From 1 April 2021, the members of the Association are allowed to export a part not exceeding 50 percent of their imported livestock of sheep in live form and in the form of raw meat (TN VED codes 0104 and 0204).
