Kazakh Majlis ratifies agreement on readmission of persons with Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Majils of the Parliament of Kazakhstan passed a law “On ratification agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and Government of Uzbekistan on the readmission of persons and executive protocol on order of realization of the agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and Government of Uzbekistan on the readmission of persons” on 4 February 2015.

The implementation of the agreement will help improve cooperation in combating illegal migration and identify effective procedures for safe and legal return of persons, who do not comply with the laws on entry, stay or residence on the territory of the contracting parties.

The persons, who have expired visa or residence permission, can be returned to their country in line with the law. The sides agree time and terms of re-admission.

The list of documents helps determine a person’s nationality is contained in the executive protocol. Th executive protocol, which determines parameters for the cooperation of diplomatic channels on this matter, was also signed by the lower house of the parliament.
