Islam Karimov nominated as candidate for President of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) nominated incumbent President Islam Karimov as a candidate for president of the country.

The corresponding decision was adopted at the session of the Poloitical Council of UzLiDeP, which was held in Tashkent on 15 January 2015.

As reported earlier, elections of the President of Uzbekistan will be held on 29 March 2015.

According to Constitution of Uzbekistan, President of Uzbekistan is elected by the citizens of Uzbekistan for five-year term.
