Islam Karimov and Vladimir Putin hold telephone conversation

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov held a telephone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin on 30 March 2015, the press service of the Kremlin said.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on his convincing victory in the presidential election of 29 March 2015, and wished him continued success.
Both leaders reiterated their commitment to further developing the strategic partnership and cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.
Earlier, Mr Putin sent Mr Karimov a message of congratulations.
