Iran’s President Announces Suspension of Strikes on Neighboring Countries Except in Case of Aggression

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The interim governing council of Iran has decided to halt strikes on neighboring countries, except in instances of aggression from their side, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated.

“The council yesterday decided to stop carrying out attacks or launching missiles at neighboring countries unless they attack Iran first. We have repeatedly emphasized that they are our brothers, and we must work together to establish peace and stability in the region,” the president said. He also apologized for past actions and stressed that Iranian armed forces took all necessary measures to protect the country from potential U.S. and Israeli attacks. Pezeshkian urged resolving conflicts through diplomacy and avoiding becoming “tools of Washington and Tel Aviv.”

On 28 February, the U.S. and Israel launched a large-scale operation against Iran. Israeli authorities stated that the goal was to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Washington threatened to destroy Iran’s naval and defense industries and called on citizens to overthrow the regime.

In response, Iran carried out strikes on Israeli territory and U.S. military facilities in the Middle East, including in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and other countries.
