Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A webinar on "Application of Earth Remote Sensing Data in Various Spheres of Economy" was held.

The webinar was organized at the initiative of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, and the Agency for Space Research and Technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and National Company Kazakstan Garysh Sapari JSC.

The webinar was attended by heads and specialists of central offices, enterprises, organizations and institutions from more than fifteen ministries and departments.

The main purpose of the event is to cooperate and study foreign experience in the application of Earth remote sensing technologies in the republic, the development of geoinformation products based on them, and the conduct of scientific and practical research.

During the period of development of information and communication technologies, the use of remote sensing of the Earth, as well as the development of geoinformation products based on them, today is a powerful tool for the development of the economies of a number of countries, as well as the introduction of digital technologies in various aspects of human activity.

At the same time, there is a great need for the further wider introduction and use of geoinformation technologies in the work of ministries, departments and economic entities to increase the efficiency, quality and efficiency of their activities.

In the event, the specialists of the committee, societies and organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who have extensive scientific, practical and production experience in the field of space activities, provided information on the work carried out and promising projects for the creation and use of satellite vehicles, the creation of geographic information systems.

In particular, the operating groups of satellite vehicles, their technical characteristics and areas of application, plans for the creation and launch of new satellites, systems for their use used in the economy of Kazakhstan, issues of their implementation in the republic, and the development of cooperation in this area were considered.

An agreement was also reached on cooperation with the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and National Company Kazakstan Garysh Sapari to study the experience of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the development and implementation of legislative and regulatory documents on the application of Earth remote sensing technologies and geoinformation systems in various fields on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the last webinar, at which many questions were raised, the participants gained a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of the use of Earth remote sensing technologies and geoinformation systems in various fields, as well as the regulatory, technological and economic aspects of their implementation. The parties also focused on holding individual events with interested ministries and departments in this area.
